Senior UI/UX and Game Designer currently in the Game Industry. I most recently spent 7 years at Rainbow Studios in Phoenix, AZ working on the latest games in the long-running MX vs ATV and Monster Jam series. My main focus has on User Experience, User Interface, UI Flow, Narratives, Economies, Game Systems, Documentation, and Feature Concepting. Before entering the game industry I worked as a graphic designer for 15 years.
I excel in communication, especially across teams with different disciplines. I often am relied upon for my out of the box thinking and problem solving skills by team members. I tend to approach things from multiple angles and can draw solutions to satisfy both the development team, the publisher or client, and most importantly the audience. I am also skilled in User Research & Analysis, Wireframing & Prototyping, Interactive Design (IxD), Information Architecture (IA), and User Testing & Iteration.
I strongly believe that anything started should be finished and that you should never put anything less than 100% into everything you create. Your work should reflect this philosophy. As my father taught me, 'No 80%'. If you try and fail while doing this, then you know it isn't because you were lazy, it's because there is more for you to learn and practice. Every day you should be better than you were the day before.
